The wall magazine competition of Jagannath Barooah University was held on 05/09/2025 with great enthusiasm and creativity. The competition aimed to encourage students to showcase their artistic skills, innovative ideas, and teamwork. Students from different departments actively participated, presenting the wall magazines in diverse themes. The Chemistry Department, with all the hard work, was successful in bringing the wall magazine named SYNTHESIS with the theme name “The GI tags of Assam.” The magazine was moved to the auditorium at sharp 10:00AM, which was inaugurated by Dr. Bhupen Kumar Baruah, followed by the rest of the faculty members signing on the wall magazine. The competition started around 10:30AM and lasted till 3:00PM. We were happy to hear the results that the chemistry department won some prizes

Following that day we celebrated DEPARTMENT DAY and FRESHMAN SOCIAL. The much-awaited freshman social was organized on 05/09/2025 in the D block of the university by the Chemical Society. The event aimed to provide the freshmen an opportunity to interact with their seniors, build new friendships, and feel at home in their new environment.

The program began with a warm welcome address by our HOD, Mrs. Akhtara Hussian Kalita, followed by inspiring words from the faculty members. Various cultural performances, such as songs, dances, and instrumental music by both seniors and freshmen, kept the audience entertained. Fun games and interactive activities were conducted to engage the new students. The highlight of the evening was the MR and MS FRESHERS contest, where the newcomers showcased their talent and personalities. Some of the top performers of the contest were.
