On the eve of the nation's 77th Independence Day, August 14, 2023, the Geological Forum, Department of Geology, Jagannath Barooah College, Jorhat, organised an inter-departmental drawing competition. Mr. Parvez Nawaz (UG 1st Sem) of the Department of Economics and Ms. Nandita Deb (UG 5th Sem) of the Department of Mathematics won the first and second prizes in the competition, respectively. Mr. Kuldeep Saikia, a well-known young artist, judged the competition. On August 15th, the winners were awarded with a memento and a certificate by the faculty, Dr. Raktim Ranjan Saikia and Dr. Chaitra Dhar Taye, respectively, in the department of Geology.
